Ray Rivers

Ray's dancing career has spanned over 66 years as an amateur and professional competitor, teacher, adjudicator and promoter.

​

He has trained hundreds of competitive dancers, including Australian and South Pacific Amateur and professional champions and World Representatives. Ray has coached in many countries throughout the world, including finalist couples in all four styles. 

 

He is winner of the "Coach of the Year" USA Sammy Award 2000 and recipient of the J. Sandy Award (Australia), a Lifetime Achievement in the Pursuit of Excellence in Ballroom Dancing. In 2021, Ray received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Ballroom Dancing from the International Grand Ball.
